LC200 TCC button will not engage when stationary

If a driver starts the car with their foot on the brake, the TCC button will not engage while the car is stationary.

To avoid this use the following test procedure

  1. Start car
  2. remove foot from brake
  3. put foot back on brake
  4. shift to 'D'
  5. press TCC button
  6. Car will stall if a Nomad Valve body is installed, otherwise you must put the vehicle into '2nd Start' to stall.

Why?

When the car is started with your foot on the brake, the status of the brake pedal is unknown. By releasing and re-engaging, the status resets and can be determined.

To see this add "Brake Force" to the dashboard. If the status is '??' then the Nomad application cannot determine the status. Once reset, Brake Force will display the % of brake force depending on how hard the pedal is pressed.
