Have fitted oil cooler but temperatures are still high

Normally with our Oil Cooler kit fitted with the 6R80 transmission we would be seeing temperatures around the 80 degree mark. Higher temperatures can indicate either a blockage in cooler oil flow (ie: kinked oil cooler line) or a faulty/stuck oil bypass valve (The OEM wax pellet style thermostatic flow control system which defaults to cooler flow OFF state).

When we fit our Nomad valve bodies, we replace this valve with one that does not restrict flow. This is also available as a standalone upgrade - https://automatictransmission.com.au/thermal-cooler-bypass-valve-to-suit-ford-6r80-6-speed-autos/
