How to Calibrate the TPS

To calibrate the TPS

  1. Engine off but IGN on
  2. Open the CS-Setup App
  3. Select 'Engine Setup' from the Home menu
  4. Click 'Advanced'
  5. Record the Throttle Position Sensor Voltage at idle position (no accelerator)
  6. Have the customer step down on the accelerator to Wide Open Throttle position and record this Voltage
  7. Enter these values into the TPS Low Calibration and TPS High Calibration respectively ensuring they tap the 'tick' and not 'undo' when done.

Notes:

  • if the idle voltage is higher than the full accelerator voltage then they must enable 'Reverse TPS' in the Engine Setup Screen
  • If the Throttle Position Sensor Voltage is always Zero they may have a standalone sensor and need to turn 'TPS Ground' on in the engine setup
  • Ignore description of High and Low TPS Calibration and put Highest voltage in High and Lowest voltage in Low

  • Adjusting the TPS
    • Aim for an idle voltage of 0.5v for normal or 4.5v for reversed
    • Range between High and Low must be at least 2.0v or higher
    • Set the idle TPS voltage by loosening the 2 screws on top of the TPS (Fine adjustment)
    • Further adjust under the TPS but probably no more than 5 degrees
    • Mounting location of TPS
